The MC2 Governance Council is a shared decision-making body created to maintain formal and effective procedures for forming and implementing policies which promote the vision of the school and reflect the District’s goals. Members include the Director, a teacher representative, ten percent of the student population as student representation, and family representatives. Family representation is half of the student representation. Responsibilities:
Attendance
Willingness to be trained and to train others
Practice active listening
Be open minded, willing to listen to other perspectives and opinions
Know who you're representing and know their opinion, to a reasonable degree
Think in a global way about representing your constituency, rather than your own opinion
